Our regular meetings are held on the Fourth Tuesday of each month (except June, July, August and December). Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.

Fire Chief Richard Price
San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District

San Ramon Valley Fire Chief Richard Price

Chief Richard Price came to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District in 2006 as its Operations Chief. He was appointed Fire Chief in 2008.

Prior to joining the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, Price served San Mateo County as a battalion chief for 18 years. He holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from California State University - East Bay and also graduated from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, Senior Executives in State and Local Government program. He is a certified Chief Fire Officer (CFO) and also attended the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Maryland.

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District provides fire protection, emergency medical, haz- mat, rescue, and community risk reduction services to the communities of Alamo, Blackhawk, the Town of Danville, Diablo, the City of San Ramon, the southern area of Morgan Territory and the Tassajara Valley, covering approximately 155 square miles.

He is the President-Elect of Leadership San Ramon Valley and is a Board Member of the 100 Club of Contra Costa. He and his wife Lisa have lived in Danville for 20 years and are the parents of a 7 year old daughter.
